• The film has very solid screenplay which gives a lot of significance as each transition, scene, frame and dialogue has inner meanings that has to be discovered.

• Kamal Haasan effortlessly pulled off his character performance and his expressions are perfect and natural.

• The film is a masterpiece classic that serves as a tribute to the late K Balachander.

• This film features the last appearance of Iyyakunar Thilagam, Balanchander.
