The Great Wall

Set in the 15th century, the film follows soldiers who are in search of gunpowder and come across the Great Wall of China as it is being constructed by the Chinese. The soldiers then discover that the huge wall is not only built to keep the Mongolians from invading, but also to keep out supernatural creatures.

The Good, the Bad and the Huge Wall :

• The movie is set in a different world of fantasy filled with monsters and it works really well with all the Chinese culture and elements, as well as the butt-kicking Asian action.

• The cinematography and visuals are truly breathtaking, and mixing CGI with real-time landscapes around the Great Wall of China is truly an amazing sight to see.

• Of course, this movie has a lot of plot holes and historical inaccuracies, but it's not supposed to be accurate in the first place as it is set in a whole new alternate world.

• Although Matt Damon is the hero of the movie, he is not exactly the main focus of the movie, but he is an important character that drives the story.

Trivia:

• This is Andy Lau's first Hollywood film and the most expensive film ever made.
