The Star

Bo is a small but brave donkey who yearns for a greater life outside of his daily grind at the village mill. One day, he finds the courage to finally break free and goes on the adventure of his dreams. On the journey, he is joined by a lovable sheep who got lost from her flock, a dove with high aspirations, and other eccentric stable animals he finds along the way. Together with his animal friends, Bo follows the Star and they become the unsung heroes of the first Christmas.

The Good, the Bad and the Unsung Heroes:

• Definitely a fun, family movie to be enjoyed by the whole household, featuring A-list voice cast, stunning animation, and an adorable Christmas story told from the animals' point of views.

• It is a harmless Christian themed story that is easy to follow and treats the nativity of Jesus story respectfully while infusing some fictional elements to make it brighter and more colourful.

• The movie got great music and comedy with jokes and gags that are not too overly cheesy but still hilarious enough to make kids and grown-ups alike burst with laughter.

• The animation might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially for the Christian extremists, but is a movie appropriate for viewing by all audiences, regardless of your religion, as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Trivia:

• This is Zachary Levi's second animated film, after "Tangled" (2010).
