The Good, the Bad and the Darker Shades of Grey:

• Despite receiving generally unfavorable reviews, the first film was a huge success at the box office, and the second film seems to almost follow the same feat, because people are just curious to see how bad it is.

• And as many would have guessed, the sequel doesn't impress much, the bad acting and cringe-worthy dialogues are still there and they seem to be even more obvious than the first film.

• However, unlike the first film, the sequel actually has a story, it's just that the story is terrible and makes no sense.

• The only good points of the film is that it has a decent soundtrack and good camerawork, but that's all there is to it.

• The formula throughout the whole movie is pretty much repetitive, but what else can you expect from a badly reviewed erotic novel about BDSM?

Trivia:

• There is a line in the film recited by Ana which is the exact same line said by Melanie Griffith in the 1988 movie "Working Girl". Melanie Griffith is lead actress Dakota Johnson's mother.
