The Good, the Bad and the Twenty Years After:

• Sequels made long after the original is always risky, especially if it is an unneeded sequel, but luckily the "Trainspotting" sequel is independent and respectful to its predecessor while standing on its own merits as a great movie.

• Though the sequel may not be as good as the original, it is still enjoyable, but most importantly, it has enough style and soul that reminds viewers why the first film is such a gem in the first place.

• The movie is all about the characters, and it did a very good job at giving these four people twenty years more content as they are all living much different lives than before.

• The film is filled with flashbacks of the original which blend over very well in present time.

Trivia:

• When the film is in development, it was titled "Porno", named after the sequel novel to "Trainspotting".
