Gotti

Told through the eyes of his eldest son John Gotti Jr, the film explores the epic rise and fall of Italian-American gangster John Gotti. Gotti was the boss of the Gambino crime family, which in its time was the largest and most powerful crime organisation in New York City. Known as "The Dapper Don" for his expensive clothes and personality in front of news cameras, and also "The Teflon Don" due to the FBI`s numerous unsuccessful attempts to convict him, Gotti was one of the most famous mobsters of the 20th century and he ruled the underworld, until he died from cancer in 2002 while serving a life sentence in prison. In 1988, 24-year-old Gotti Jr was officially inducted into the Mafia world, and is expected to become the next head of Gambino family by following his father`s footsteps. But Gotti Jr ultimately chose to reject the legacy he was born into and left that world behind to redeem himself and the Gotti name.
