Wonderstruck

Based on Brian Selznick`s novel, young children Ben and Rose from two different eras share a similarity - they both wish that their lives were different. Following the sudden death of his mother, Ben is constantly questioning the existence of a father he never knew. Rose, on the other hand, escapes her father`s reprimands by going to the movies. One day, Ben comes across an exhibition catalogue, which he believes to hold clues regarding his father, while Rose reads a headline in the newspaper about her favourite actress Lillian Mayhew`s appearance in a play. Seeking their hearts` desire, both children then set out to discover what they`ve been wanting their whole life.
