Crossing

The film depicts a gripping story of survival during the 1934 Long March. After a brutal battle at the Xiang River, Mao Zedong is reinstated as military leader at the Zunyi Conference. Facing Chiang Kai-shek`s overwhelming forces and encirclement, Mao ingeniously guides the Red Army along Sichuan and Guizhou borders, escaping through four river crossings at Chishui-marking a pivotal moment in the march. The film also follows two individuals` Zhao Defa, an old soldier holding onto a sacred vow, and A Jin, a homeless orphan who transforms into a resilient soldier.
