12 Aug – Golden Village celebrates its Movie Club's eighth anniversary with a 24-hour movie marathon where participants will stand a chance to win prizes worth up to SGD4600. Each team, comprising of two participants, will race to 8 different cinemas to watch 8 different movies. Participating cinemas are GV Yishun, GV Bishan, GV City Square, GV Tampines, GV Suntec, GV Vivo City, GV Plaza and GV Grand (Great World City). "Minions", "Jurassic World", "Survivor", "The Maze Runner", "Maze Runner: Scorch Trials", "The Transporter Refueled", "The Assassination" and "The Intern" are the eight movies to be screened during the marathon. A fee of SGD208 will apply to each team – inclusive of entry for 2 pax to 8 Movie, 2 event T-shirts, 6 500 ml beverages, 2 hotdogs, 2 regular popcorn, 2 packets of potato chips, 2 exclusive Mr. Popcorn Ezlink Cards (top-up value not included) and 2 LINE Plush, which can be claimed upon completion of marathon. The first team to complete the marathon will receive SGD588 in cash as well as other prizes including a 2D1N Deluxe Room Staycation at the Bay Hotel worth over SGD400. Teams that come in second and third stand to win Gold Class Movie Passes and cash prizes up to SGD388.
