22 Jan – After delaying a number of releases last year, it looks like studios are postponing movies again as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in recent months. Universal recently announced new dates for their upcoming movies, including "No Time to Die", which was originally slated to open in cinemas on 2 April and is now scheduled for 8 October release. The new James Bond movie was previously revealed to be Daniel Craig's final film playing the famous spy, and co-stars Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, and Lashana Lynch.
On the other hand, Sony Pictures is also postponing the release of "Peter Rabbit 2" from 2 April to 11 June, The Camila Cabello-starrer "Cinderella" from 5 February to 16 July, while Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland's "Unchartered", a video game adaptation which was slated for 16 July release, will instead open in February next year. Fans of the "Ghostbusters" franchise will also have to wait a bit longer, as Jason Reitman's upcoming "Ghostbusters: Afterlife" is being pushed from its 11 June release to 11 November. The film stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd.
