16 Jun – Johnny Depp is set to divide the payment received from ex-wife Amber Heard to several charity organisations. As reported on People, the "Aquaman" star recently issued the USD 1 million settlement money that Depp won in last year's defamation case in Virginia, a reduced amount that was agreed by Depp instead of the original court ordered amount of USD 10 million in compensatory damages.
Back in December, Depp's attorneys Benjamin Chew and Camille Vazquez issued a statement about the settlement, saying, "The payment of USD 1 million - which Mr. Depp is pledging and will (actually) donate to charities - reinforces Ms. Heard's acknowledgement of the conclusion of the legal system's rigorous pursuit for justice."
