23 Oct – Tim Burton, the infamous director who had given us classic whimsical and artistic films like "Sweeney Todd", "Mars Attacks", "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and "Edward Scissorhands" is planning big things with a possible sequel of "Beetlejuice", and Michael Keaton is even in talks to star again as the titular character! There have previously been only rumours that Tim Burton is planning a sequel to the beloved classic but Burton is officially in talks to direct "Beetlejuice 2" for Warner Brothers according to The Wrap. The original starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton, as the Beetlejuice himself who was tasked with scaring a family out of a haunted house.
If the project is confirmed, Burton may no longer be considering "Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children" as his follow-up to the recently wrapped "Big Eyes" starring Christoph Waltz. If it does comes together, Michael Keaton will no doubt be happy to work once more with his old friend, as he's been positive about revisiting the ghost with the most for years now. The "Beetlejuice 2" screenplay is already written by David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith, who also penned "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," which was produced by Burton.
