27 May – Jon Hamm recently admitted that he still can't believe that he is part of "Top Gun: Maverick".

The actor, who plays the role of Vice Admiral Beau "Cyclone" Simpson of the Naval Air Force, and the new guy butting heads with Tom Cruise's Maverick, shared with Comic Book that he occasionally would have to step back and process the fact that he was filming the sequel to the hit 1986 film.

"It was kind of a daily reminder that this is happening: this is actually happening. And then to actually finish the movie and sit on the movie for two years – because of the pandemic and this and that and everything else – for it finally to be coming out, we're able to share it with everybody," he enthused.

Hamm added that he is proud of the film, and is happy that audiences will finally get to watch the movie.

"So yeah, I've been pinching myself for quite some time," he added.

The film, which co-stars Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, and Glen Powell among others, has been released in cinemas on 26 May.
